BENIG MAUGER B.A., has a background in childbirth education, founding the Holistic Birth Centre in London in the 1980's. She is a Jungian psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice in Ireland, and founder member of IAPA (Irish Analytical Psychology Association).On the editorial board of the International Society of Pre- and Perinatal Psychology and Medicine (ISPPM), and member of the Association of Pre- and Perinatal Psychology and Health (APPPAH), she lectures and writes extensively on the psychology of childbirth from a Jungian perspective. She is a frequent speaker at National and International Congresses and her work has been published in Germany, Britain, USA, and Ireland. She is the mother of three children.
